About Interactive Guided Imagery (IGI)℠

IGI℠ is a process of visualisation that includes that adds the important element of interactivity. IGI℠ works directly with the images that arise from the individual’s own imagination and inner wisdom.

IGI℠ is most often used in connection to medical or psychological issues. It is even in some cases used as a successful anaesthesia for people undergoing operations when the patient cannot tolerate medicinal-induced anaesthesia. That is how powerful a practice it is.

The tool can also connect to a deeper sensing within the human being and is used to connect and uncover soul aspects and longing. And even though our work can touch upon all parts of the human being; physical, and psychological it is the aspect of soul connection that is most present in our work.

At Earth Conversations we have taken the practice to this higher level and are using it to serve as a tool to tune in to and interact with your innermost self and the higher imagination. The higher imagination is actually a plane of existence in which all planes of existence can meet, engage and interact.

Indigenous Cultures Visualized To Communicate With Earth

Visualising and communicating with Earth have long been practised in many indigenous cultures and in some esoteric religions. These traditions recognise that the plane of the higher imagination serves as a bridge for communication in and between all species, the cosmos and the inner worlds. The knowledge of this is perhaps best kept in written form in the tradition of Sufism where Ibn al-Arabi has in detail described the workings of the higher imagination. Many traditions also recognised that the Earth can dream through the human being.

The inner language of symbolism and the engagement of the imaginary faculties is of utmost importance. Through the imagination, we can help Earth keep the remembrance of the original ways alive and we can help Earth dream and embody a new future. A future that carries an awareness of love and harmony between all created.

The ” ℠ superscript” is a “service mark” that “denotes that these terms refer to a legally registered process that is owned by the Academy for Guided Imagery” (AGI, n.d.a) and as a certified practitioner by the Academy for Guided Imagery we are required by law to always connect the ” ℠ superscript” when referring directly by name of the practice in public. It is also for your benefit and protection so that you know that when choosing a practitioner, they have been fully certified and properly trained in the technique.
