Mythic Imagination

BRIDGING THE WORLDS THROUGH OUR SHARED ORIGINAL LANGUAGE.

Many Names Reference The Same:
Mythic Imagination, Higher Imagination, The Imaginary Bridge & The Imaginary Realms.

The Mythic Imagination, or as some call it the Higher Imagination, can be seen as an Imaginary Bridge which serves as an access point of communication between the deeper parts of yourself, all living things and other realms of existence. And so we see the Mythic Imagination as a space that opens up wherein you meet and relate to other beings and also as a sort of gateway for other beings to reach you through our shared language of imagery, symbolism and shared consciousness. This space is not stationary but opens up when accessed and it can be accessed from all realms, however, it also holds a forcefield on its own and is therefore relatable as a force too without meeting anyone else in its space. We therefore also see it as a realm (or force) in its own right and can refer to it as The Imaginary Realms.

Imagery is the language of the soul, nature and the other realms. When referring to Imagery it is not just a reference to the inner visual sense. Imagery includes all senses; visual, audiotive, taste, smell, the felt sense/tactile sense and feelings. It refers to inner experiences that are held within a more ancient language than our spoken languages and one Imagery experience can hold much more information in one single impression that a thousand words would fail to describe. Therefore, the Imagination is an imperative and superior way of communication.


There are many levels of Imagination within the human being. For an easier understanding, we will briefly refer to them as levels.

1. Place & Space

You innately have a sense of place and space in the physical world that allows you to see yourself in relation to your surroundings. There is the ability to hold something in your mind, like a route you need to travel where you have to have an inner sense of the way to where you are going. You in a way have to imagine the way you are going in order to make the physical journey to your destination.

2. Fears & Fantasies

Then there is a second level which relays more to an inner visualisation more related to daydreaming where you can either imagine something nice like being at your favourite nature spot, say a beach where you can hear the waves rolling gently in on the shore, smell the fresh sea air and the soft breeze touching your body in the warm unfilled air. Or you can imagine something horrible, which we often call worrying, where you are imagining more or less voluntarily something like car accidents, losing a loved one or being betrayed. This level of imagination also touches your body as the first nice imagery provided above is scientifically proven to lower blood pressure and increase oxytocin whereas worry imagery is also scientifically proven to raise blood pressure and release stress hormones into your bloodstream. This powerful imagery has a real impact on your mental and physical well-being and life.

3. Creative Manifestation

The creative imagination is where you manifest something into the physical world. There are many ways to manifest. Often associated with artists; painters, writers, handcrafts. The creative process is also manifesting in building and business-related purposes. Some manifest from their wants and needs and some manifest from inspiration, intuition or inner guidance.

4. The Higher Imagination

Then there is the Higher Imagination which is also what we refer to here as the Mythic Imagination or the Imaginary Realms is much more of a space wherein a relationship is interacting- you are experiencing and are not the sole creator of what happens. It is here where the soul can guide you and that bridging the worlds through our shared original language is happening; empathic relations through imagery (the imagery is not just visuals but appeal to all senses; the felt sense, hearing, tasting, smelling etc.), symbols, impressions, colours, movements etc.

Engaging the Imaginary realms can happen as flashes throughout the day, it can be brought into dreams, it can come in meditations or when doing contemplative practices and then you can bring it by yourself through accessing and engaging the field. The latter may take some practice, it is like a muscle that needs to be excessed in order to work better- get stronger. Here the art of visualisation, Interactive Guided Imagery℠ and even daydreaming can be the way to strengthen that muscle.

This is one of the reasons why we have chosen to work with these tools at Earth Conversations and incorporate them into many of our offerings. When applied with wisdom and approached with humility we have seen them transport people from all walks of life into a more profound sense of communion with their souls, with Earth and the other realms. It is a powerful tool that should be practised cautiously.
