When we are knowingly part of the land we cannot help but hear its whispers.

We become intrinsically tuned into a knowledge that holds and knows “the everything” that is going on. This continuous story’s unfolding both informs us and informs everyone else who stops to tune into it.

It is not possible for us to not be part of the land; the land knows this!

It is only us that through our minds preoccupation seem to step out of the ongoing conversation happening all around us.
In our eyes, our animal brothers seem to go hither and dither with no sense of obvious purpose but in truth, their instincts are connected to the land and they are following the intuitive notions rising in them; notions stemming from the whispers and promises from the land as a whole.

The rabbit suddenly turns off and goes in the other direction, just before the fox trots around the corner. It wasn’t aware of the fox but something made it turn and choose another direction; a whisper of a warm hole perhaps or maybe a promise of a juicy root. Whether it chose to do so by it sensing capacity through scent or through an inner prompting differs from instant to instant. Either it is connected to the land through the wind might carry a scent near to the rabbit or an inner remembrance appears stirred by the land itself or the animal’s soul. It doesn’t really matter which, they are both apart of the conversation.

The fox on another day takes the right turn, catches the rabbit and has his dinner. He tuned into the land at a moment where the rabbit was preoccupied with its sniffing for the delicious roots in the snow-covered ground and as of that had tuned out of the conversation for a brief moment, tuned out from the whispers from the land.

Why it goes as it goes is a mystery but the tuning in and the listening capacity we share with our brothers. The whisper from the land is always there and you are always included but you are mostly too preoccupied to notice it.

The land knows you many times better than you know yourself. It knows your moves even before you yourself become aware of it; whether you are going to turn right or left next.

If you tune in with respect and curiosity it will tell you many things and you are most likely to make joyous friends in The Land you live on.
